How it works

Forecasts start from how good a player's chances are, using expected goals and assists, so a lucky or unlucky run does not skew the picture.

How long a player is likely to be on the pitch, and how tough the opponent is at home or away, shape every number.

A machine-learning model learns from earlier gameweeks and is combined with a rules-based forecast, which tested better than either alone.

An optimiser searches thousands of squad combinations to build three alternative plans for transfers, captain and chips.

Football is unpredictable. Forecasts are tested on past seasons and are a guide to the odds, never a guarantee.

AI here means forecasting models trained on past matches, plus an optimiser that picks your transfers. It is not a chat assistant.
